Angus F. Gunn Ltd was established in
Rutherglen, Glasgow in 1948. In those early days its principal activity was scrap metal
processing.
However, as many local factories faced closure a decision was taken to diversify into sub
contract profile burning. This proved to be a successful transition and the company
established itself in the local market over the next few years.
In the early seventies another gap in the market was spotted. This resulted in a Surplus
and Re-usable Steel Department. This aspect of the business involves sourcing surplus
steel for sale on the home and overseas markets.
In 1988, Henderson Kerr Ltd, an established metal recycling business, amicably acquired
Angus F. Gunn Ltd. This led to relocation to Scotland's industrial heart - Bellshill,
Lanarkshire. This move further increased our customer base and assisted accessibility to
all areas of Scotland.
Angus F. Gunn Ltd is quality assured to BS EN ISO9002, now a necessity in today's quality
driven industry.
With 50 years under its belt Angus F. Gunn Ltd is now ideally placed to stride confidently
in to the future with a modern factory, room to expand and a proactive management. |
